If you have a known and defined audience for your course, you can do a bulk import of them directly into the course itself by following these steps:
Admin Area > Courses > Enrolments > Import
- Download the user import template CSV. This should then be completed, as detailed below.
- Upload the template into Curatr.
- Compare fields to what has been detected, adjust if necessary and press SUBMIT.
- A preview of all changes will be shown, check for errors and then press CONFIRM CHANGES.
Note: Additional fields may be present depending on where you export the CSV from and your organisation. See further down for details.
|This is a mandatory field and can be left blank if it is the same as their Username.|
|Username||This is a mandatory field and is usually their email address.|
|First Name||This is a mandatory field.|
|Last Name||This is a mandatory field.|
|Location||This helps to populate their Curatr profile page, but is not essential.|
|Language Code||This is the the ISO 639-1 standard language code, i.e. GB, FR, DE etc. This will help Curatr define what language to present the User Interface in.|
|Timezone||This helps to populate their Curatr profile page, but is not essential.|
|Organisation Reference||This could be an employee number, payroll number etc. This has the most value when the users don't have an email address or if you want to reconcile with HR (type) data.|
|Function||This helps to populate their Curatr profile page, but is not essential.|
|Tags||This allows you to add imported users to groups, based on these tags. Importing users with tags automatically adds them to the associated group (with the same tag) in the Groups section.|
The following options are also available if you download the template at course level (as opposed to organisation level)
|Course Admin||Enter 1 if they are to be an admin and 0 if not|
|Course Tutor||Enter 1 if they are to be a tutor and 0 if not.|
If your organisation is using Single Sign On there will be an extra column.
|SSO Ident||SSO ID from your SSO system.|
Warning: It is very important that the users have the correct SSO Ident assigned in the SSO Ident column. If a SSO Ident is not included in that column Curatr will revert back to automatically creating that user an account. This can lead to having duplicate user accounts, with one being used by the user and the other being inactive.
