Within Curatr, an organisation is a logically separate instance of Curatr. Each organisation has its own URL, its own users and its own courses. Users cannot move between organisations, however, they can have multiple accounts (one for each organisation).
Note: Using the organisations tab in the admin area it's possible to view and edit child organisations whilst logged in to the parent. Your account on the parent must have Organisation Admin permissions for the child. This helps avoid the need for a separate account in each child. However, you cannot access the front end this way and must log in using an account on that specific child.
Admin Area > Organisation
Each organisation has a name, an alias, a default language and a user limit. The organisation name is something that end-users will see across Curatr when they log in.
Warning: The organisation alias cannot be changed once an organisation has been created.
The language setting decides which language translation to apply for your organisation by default.
Note: Curatr will be displayed in this language for all users unless they specify a different language in their profile.
Finally, in the user limit field you can enter the total number of active users you expect in this orginisation. This allows you to keep track of the distribution of users across all of your organisations.
